Hi all!

Going back to closed phones, and following a great experience with the Kenwood KH-K1000 (why the hell did I sell them!!!!), I've ordered myself two potential cans :

1) Audio-Technica ATH-A900, and
2) Denon AH-D5000

Both of these are pretty low impedence, but I've read that the D5000 in particular likes a lot of current.

I was happy with the Kenwoods unamped, but kinda feel that it would be a shame not to amp the Denon...

Has anyone any experience of either of these cans with a portable amplifier - did it make a worthwhile difference? Which ones have you tried? Would also be interested in USB DAC functionality, but that's not 100% necessary, so would be happy to get just an amp is it was worth it

Never used an iBasso product myself, but I've heard good things about the iBasso D10 with Denons. It has a USB DAC as well.
