Just got ES10 yesterday. Still burning in, but the response from Hotel California is perfect.
But what amp should I choose, if iPod Classic as source?

Why not just run them out of the iPod?
ATs generally do well even without external amping, and even though I've been lugging around ESW9/10 for a few years with a Pico + iPod rig, I'm starting to think that the extra size just isn't worth whatever you gain.

Especially if you're using it in noisy environments, where the increased SQ is less perceivable, making it even less worthwhile.
I'd say save yourself the trouble and the money and keep it simple and small.
Just another view that you might want to keep in mind.

The ES10 sounds really good with a full sized tube amp. I'm using Little-Dot MKIII with Mullard EF92 tubes.. And I must say it sounds better than most full size headphones I've owned or heard. But the iBasso D10 does a really good job as well.. especially when using it's DAC. IMO the ES10 gain allot from a good amp. Soundstage much wider, bass is more controlled, more detail. Really this headphone is just not the same unamped, but that's just my opinion.. hope this helps.
