I need an amp to go with my new ipod classic 160 (i also got the lineout adapter). I currently have a home made cmoy, and use yuin pk2's on the go, and ms1's if i listen at home. i think i've narrowed it to the total bithead, and the ibasso t2, but can't find a comparison of the two to make up my mind. Anyone have any thoughts or other definitive suggestion in this $100ish price range?

I'll throw in 2 more. The C&C Box+ for .50 cents more and then for $15.50 more than that you could get a Mini^3 which by what I've read out here will destroy the T2 and I've not read much up on the Bithead. Just my .02, best of luck

The new iBasso P2 seems to be a great hit and you should add the Minibox-E+ in that list as well. These plus the Mini^3, are basically the best of the $100 - $150 category.

I actually pushed it on the Mini^3 at $125.00 Dap. OP wanted something in the $100.00 range so I did not even mention. P2, Headsix and last I looked the MiniBox-E+ is running $169.00:-0

Ok, so I've newly narrowed it to the minibox-e+ and the ibasso p2. They are similar in price, but is there a clear winner between the two? I listen to mainly heavy metal (metalcore, thrash, death), with a dash of classic rock, my guilty pleasure is coldplay/interpol style softness, and once in a great while some blues. So what is the new consensus?

The P2 is shaping up very well. I am finding it to be very open and dynamic. I enjoy it with heavy metal or classical.

so, I've made the final decision, minibox-e+ and pk1 combo (I'm a big fan of $49 off), since my current pk2's are not so keen on amplification. This should hold me over for a little while, Happy Holidays
