Don't remember if I already posted this or not, but I've had the final movement stuck in my head since I saw the Dallas Symphony perform this about a year ago. I wouldn't consider Jaap Van Zweden to be another Kleiber, but he is one of the better living conductors. Always energetic with very bright tempi.

Also realized that the Overture to Hamlet that I posted earlier was not a full recording. I thought that the track length seemed pretty short.

It being Valentines Day (and all), make sure that you buy her some red roses and some chocs otherwise things could go a little sour!

And the next time you are in hospital - things could go a bit like this)?!

(In fact, maybe they should rename it International Woman's Day. :deadhorse:)

An all female orchestra and a nice arrangement.

"Written by Astor Piazzolla, arranged by Øivind Westby. Orchestra conducted by Halldis Rønning. From the 100th anniversary celebration concert for Women's right to vote (in Norway), at Kilden Theatre and Concert Hall in Kristiansand, March 8th, 2013."
