The blueberry flavor with frosting on top is pretty delicious and good to grab on the go, but its usually is a little hard on my stomach, hard for me to digest I guess.

Blueberry
Cherry

I like them in the evening for a late snack or breakfast on the fly.

His description is wrong. They have a jam like filling of various flavours (which he left out of his description) and various toppings too, topping is like hard icing on a cake. You can get them with no topping too. I fnd the toppings ones are a bit too sweet but still ok. Think of them like a strudel but with compressed pastry instead of flaky pastry. Similar in taste too strudel but not strudel has more flavour of everything and strudel has much nicer texture in the mouth too.

i get some organic ones at Trader Joes. They are just as good(to me) and not nearly as bad for you.

I've always wondered how the foil covering tasted like...

Yeah, the local vegan supply store has some organic ones, but they're a little on the expensive side. Great occasional treat tho.

Those are the only Pop-Tarts I like but I can only find the icky frosted tarts now.
Do they even still make the unfrosted ones?

My new toaster's manual contains a stern warning that toaster pastries should never, ever be heated in it.

Your new toaster sounds like a jerk, and a pastry-racist.

For anybody in Australasia interested they are available locally.

American Pop tarts - USA Foods Australia

They used to be available in Australia but were discontinued in 2005 according to Wikipedia. I have tried the au version- chocolate i think, but was not particularly enthused by them.

Pop-Tarts - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fraseyboy, you really should try Smuckers Goober Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly. It is utterly disgusting.

UPDATE:

I mentioned them on twitter and instantly got an offer to send me some, from a complete stranger! I was ever so grateful.

So now I have two boxes of Pop Tarts, the strawberry ones and the brown sugar cinnamon, both frosted. Strawberry is kinda average imo and doesn't really taste like strawberry (more like sugar) but the brown sugar cinnamon is REAL good. It just always seems like there isn't enough filling to offer the amount of flavour I want.

My toaster doesn't like them much though. It's pretty hard to get them out of it once they're in there. I have to pick it up and tip them out to get at them.

My next goal is to try get some Chocolate Fudge or Hot Fudge Sundae ones. I can't see why they don't sell them in New Zealand though... We have other Kelloggs products...
