Ok, i think im getting quite good at rattling off some of the names of some good portables.

Storm STB4 (initally above &200 but with a little haggling you can easily get it under $200)

Now, im just a newb like you (actually even more) they are all based on what skylab and others have reviewed and mentioned from first hand tests. so please take this with a grain of salt.
