There’s problem with my HE-5. Sometimes, the sound would be lost for like 0.5 seconds and come back on its own on the left speaker. When it happens it would happen a few time and feels like the sound is turn on and off quickly. It happens only on the left side only and happens more often when I move my head. I’ve checked the cable connector/move the cable. Moving the cable doesn’t cause the sound to lost but moving/turning my head would from time to time.

Anyone knows what happens? Is there a way I can fix this on my own/using a headphone technician? I don’t really want to send it back to China.

any electrician should be able to repair it as long as it doesn't involve a faulty driver.

own repair = no warranty

If the connection is good, check the continuity on cable while shifting it around. You may need to build yourself a new cable or reterminate the one you have. That or you can ask head direct for a new cable if you can confirm that yours is faulty. It seems unlikely that it would be a problem with the phone itself.

Thank you for all the suggestions.
I've checked the cable connectors, they look OK/screwed tight,
I've switch the left/right cable, the flickering sound remains on the left side,
I've swing the cable around to test, no flickering.

BTW, this flickering comes not all the time. The other day I listened and fell asleep, so I assume I was lying still

, and those flickering sound woke me up.

I've contacted Head direct, they said they'll replace the cans upon me showing the receipt, no receipt no warranty. This makes me wonder how else can I get this cans if not from them and there's no way any warranty for HE-5 could be expired. Well, I've sent them the receipt from the Thai dealer I bought the can from and waiting to see what would they say.

Again, thank you everyone. But again if someone has more idea how could I deal with this without sending it back, please share.
