Hello everyone! I hope this is the right section. I posted on Reddit and had my thread deleted for not being posted in the right spot. People OC.net I do not think they knew what they were talking about. I hope people here, on an audiophile site, do. :)

I am looking for a replacement for my Kanto YU3. I am looking for a all in one system too to simplify things for me. So I think this means that the amp is included in the main speaker. Is that right? Sorry that I do not know that much about this stuff. I have a sub already. I bought it with the Kanto YU3 speakers. It's the SUB6. It would be great if the next set of speakers I buy are able to be connected to it. I do a lot of gaming. I do not need the speakers to have much bass if at all. I need my sounds to be sharp and crisp. Most importantly, I need to hear those really low sounds like footsteps when people are walking on the other side of a wall.

Here are some must haves with these speakers.

*3.5mm jack to quickly connect my headphones
*Ability to turn off auto off
*As big or smaller in size
*All in one

Here are some would likes but isn't make it or break it for me.

*Bookshelf speakers
*Remote
*Bluetooth (with the ability to disable it)

Price really isn't an issue. Not to worried about that assuming it's not over $500-$750. Is there anything out there that I might like? It would be great if it's tried and true. In other words, I would like to see several reviews on them if possible.

Thanks for the help!

You should consider:

Active speakers: LSR-305 (300usd)
Preamp for volume control + great quality headphone output: FiiO K5 (110usd)
If you want to spend more you can add a FiiO E17K DAC which can be docked on the K5 and it has auto off function (100usd)

Spend the rest on stands for the LSR-305 and some acoustic treatment.

Not the all in one system you asked for, but a much higher fidelity one.
This is an audiophile site after all...

The LSR-305 are 5 inches. Are those going to produce the sounds I want? Are they going to be able to provide the lows, or will I hear the footsteps, I want to hear? How is the bass?

I have never had a Amplifier/DAC before. I don't know anything about them. Why would I want an external over an internal one? Is there any lag/latency with one?

I really do not want the auto off feature. Is there a way to disable it with this setup?

When you say acoustic treatment, what do you mean?

LSR-305 have great bass response, extended and precise.

Each LSR-305 speaker has it's own internal amplifier, and you get volume level, and bass/treble adjustments in the back of each speaker.
If you add the preamp (FiiO K5) you can connect both speakers to the K5 and get a very fine volume control for both speakers at the same time, so you can set both LSR-305 at the exact same level and use the volume pot on the FiiO K5. Which can also work as a very good headphone amplifier, much MUCH better than the typical jack you get built into some consumer grade powered speakers.

E17K is the DAC (it works as a high fidelity external soundcard), you can enable or disable the SLEEP mode and you can set the time when enabled.

With acoustic treatment I mean to place some acoustic absorvers on the walls, thick curtains over big glass surfaces/windows, a small carpet on the floor, those details help to improve the sound quality minimizing unwanted reflections of sound. Acoustic treatment of the room is very important to get the most out of quality sepakers. Place 10.000usd speakers on a bathroom and they will sound awful no matter how good they are.
