I will use the transport for a desktop hifi system. Max price is 500usd. A real IR Remote (no smartphone app) would be a big plus. The hifi system has a remote too that works with software players (iTunes, foobar,...) via usb to pc connection (I could select forward, pause on the remote and this signal would be sent to the software player in the pc) - I wonder if this would work with dap via usb too.
The dap will be on the charger 24/7 and should be able to put out optical or usb out at the same time.
