That's a 340 smiley. You want the Ety smiley:

The Go-Vibe V5. I use a normal gain version at work with my Ety ER4S with no hint of background noise or hiss. There is a special synergy between the Go-Vibe V5 and the ER4S. I like the V5 better with the ER4S than either of my two home amps (a PPA v1.0A retrofitted with discrete buffer and a high bias M^3 with STEPS). The V5 provides a better balance of heard vs felt bass (which makes for a more satisfying bass presence), simply gorgeous highs and a very ear-satisfying balance of mids, with tonal/timbral/textural and spatial qualities in the sound that keep me amazed on a daily basis. Don't skimp on the Interconnect from iPod to amp. The V5 and the ER4S can really give you what you pay for with a good quality IC.

Budget?

I used a Porta Corda MkII and was happy with it. That is untill I got my Headroom Desktop Portable with Home module. The Desktop really makes the 4s's sing. IMHO more than worth the money. Questionable portability, but fantastic performance.

PINT or the PPAS. Either that or try and see if you can shove a 8058 or 6172 opamp on any of the other amps.. I find that those two opamps give a great soundstage for the ER4.

I think I will order the GV5.
I got some more questions.
What is the low gain version?
Mine is er4p with the S adaptor , should I buy the normal gain or low gain version?

sorry that i'll make you more complicated

but you should add xin supermini in your list and also portaphile v2^2 maxxed version. I used to have the portaphile maxxed, but not the most updated version, and I had a very good time with my ER4S.

and as you're Thai. also should take a look in the PIG or Kotch headphone amp. I had both but not the same time. You couldn't go wrong with any.

I've never heard the Hornet so I can't comment. But try using search function, it can absolutely help you on this question. Or maybe PM to munkong, he had Hornet original version, no M.

Anyway, both are not the same price range so it depends on your budget. Good luck.

ps. what's your user name on pantip?
