Hi all,

I am on the look out for a portable DAC to be used with my iPhone and wired iem.

Requirements:
1) Reliable connection with the iPhone
2) MQA (personal preference)

Tried Audirect Hilidac Atom Pro previously and it stopped working within a month. Managed to get it replaced under warranty but the replacement unit stopped working within a month as well.

I have considered Shanling UP5 and Fiio BTR5 2022 but I read in the forum that they seem to be having firmware problems. I don’t need the Bluetooth function either.

The expensive Lotoo Paw S2 seems to be having some problems with the lightning cable as well.

Can somebody share about the reliability and musicality using audioquest and Apple camera adaptor?

Personally, I would like to take practical approach and emphasis more on the reliablity than the technicalities and musicality of the DAC. I am unwilling to pay a few hundreds for a DAC/cable which only last a few months.

Please recommend a system that fits my needs and preferably cost less than 200USD. Thanks.
