I was wondering what would be a good headphone amp to enhance the bass of the Shure SE420 IEM's. I was thinking about the iBasso D2 Boa, but Im not sure since Ive never tried it out.

Anyone have any suggestions?

If your phones are super sensitive and you have any sort of hiss coming from your player, the FiiO E3 will simply amplify it... I haven't had much luck sound-quality wise in chaining a FiiO with another amp, but you might, you never know.

Also, the FiiO E5, which has a volume control on it, will be coming out soon... it might be more suited to the task

I am very happy with the bass delivered by my Leckerton Audio UHA-3 in my ER4P. (And with the rest of range too)
