please recommend a headphone amplifier for Sennheiser hd650

 I have been using speaker hifi system for a few years but I am really  new to headphone and this forum. 
 Recently  bought a Sennheiser hd650,now I need a desktop amp to drive HD650.
 My budget is around $1k. 
 
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hmm - lots of really excellent amps are available for $1K. Do you prefer tube or solidstate? Here's a couple of options just to get you looking on your own:

For $1K the amp I'd most be interested in trying is the DNA Sonett, though I don't know how they pair with HD650s.
 
EDIT: And for quite a bit less, a Schiit Valhalla might be worth looking into, as it is said to be particularly bright, and might pair well with a HD650 (pure speculation on my part).

I know there are many good amps under 1K, but I am particularly looking for a one that pairs well with HD650.

The Schiit Vali is a great starting point to see if tubes are your thing. It is a fantastic pairing with the newest driver versions of the HD 600 and HD 650. Good luck on your new amp purchase!    I'm curious, what is your source in your setup?

Another question would be what are you looking to get out of this amp?  What do you like about the 650s and what do you wish to improve?
 
There are lots of good amps, but it would help to know what would make the pairing better for you.

Some people regard the Bottlehead Crack as the single best amp for the HD-650, so I'd suggest looking into that one. It's a DIY kit, but the company can build it for you for an extra fee.

My speaker system is Dynaudio C1, and most of time I listen to classic. Digital source is mac mini + Audirvana Plus.  Current DAC is Ayre QB-9, also bought a dragonfly DAC for headphone.
 
I expect the headphone amp to drive HD650 well for classic music.
 
would RSA Raptor or Woo Audio WA7 be good for hd650?
