Currently I am using Shure SE102 connected to either my ipod or at home to my nuforce icon

I am very much enjoying the shure se102 but I am looking to upgrade and give these to my younger brother. I have looked into higher end headphones but there are so many choices I would really like some advice from you gurus here

I listen to mostly rock, alternative and acoustic guitar stuff and so far I am loving the se102 but I am greedy and want more...I am willing to spend around 300 dollars at max

I will also be using these headphones for the gym etc so portability and comfort is key

thanks in advance

RE0, $79 only, nice choice for your music, great portability and comfort. 2-piece cable is good for gym, when paired with players like Shuffle or Clip. Review is in my sig.

Triple Fi 10s outdo any 'phones listed before me and they go for $150 on ebay (new). They are worth $300. Unfortunately these are only comfortable for a couple people

Why are they uncomfortable? The triple Fi 10s that is

also I am looking to spend more than 100 dollars unless you guys think the ones posted already are that good for the value since these Shure se102 cost me about 89 canadian

The wire puts a lot of pressure on the ear and the buds themselves are gigantic

of course it depends on the user but from what I've read here this is the general consensus

or um2?

um3x sounds good but I listen to a lot of really upbeat rock to get me pumped at the gym and I am worried they won't deliver if they are good for acoustic music?
