I am looking to buy a new minidisc......







what can yo tell me about this new model guys?

I am somewhat knowledable about minidiscs.. but I want to know if you guys know :


a) a good website of consumer reports stuff... where they compare that model against other models.

b) does anyone here have that model above?? and are you satisfied with the performance of this??

d) any info is much welcomed... thanks.

Yup, that's sony's basic unit. I'd step up to the n707, but for basic use, that one would be great.

Sorry about that, my bad.

But if you want to connect it to a hi fi, either go with an older model or the N1 is the answer.

I've got one, and its features are great for the price. You might want to download the owner's manual (See the first URL that myself, aka me posted)... read about how things operate... I just think it'll be a good idea.

Also if you really are that old (see namesake), make sure you have good lighting where you use your N505. The display is not always the most readable


edit - when I leave alkaline AAs in the N505, it attempts to recharge it... the manual doesn't seem to say, but it might be able to charge rechargeables.

The N505 can recharge rechargables.
