please identify music...this is tricky..

i would like to know what piece of piano music the Ben Kingsley character plays/listens to briefly (can't remember) in the film 'Harem' (1985). this is from memory but i have seen the film a few times. it is probably a simple and famous sonata...? i haven't been able to find it/id it in credits etc.
