I just purchased a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80ohm cans to go with my creative x-fi titanium fatal1ty pro sound card. Question is would this amp combo work great for the price or should I get another brand?

hmm Links are not working for me ?? the amp is a Tianyun Zero DAC Preamplifer and Headphone Amplifer amp for $100 usd, and the upgrade is LT1364 Head-fi Upgrade Dual 70MHz 1000V/µs Op Amplifier for $25 usd.
I use my system for music,gaming, and movies.

Also, how much of a difference does it make to use optical fiber cable connected to my sound card compared to the regular connections?

I'd maybe use USB to bypass your whole soundcard, although optical is probably fine.
The quality of the Zero DAC is lacking and many people have problems with it, you may want to consider the Audio-GD Compass which costs a little more, but will be a long term investment. It has a USB Dac and can serve as a standalone DAC, and it's very nicely made.

USB is out of the question because I just purchased this sound card and want to use it of course. Very nice equipment u recomend but, I can not afford that setup.

I am looking for something in the $100 or less range to use the optical out on my sound card
