I recently got my Alpha Prime, and I love it.
It was all going good for the last month, but suddenly from yesterday the left channel just goes mum.
I am using the following link:
Source:  Laptop
Dac: UCA202 (through USB)
Amp: NAD C326BEE amp (headphone out)

Can anyone please help me - is the problem with my USB port, DAC or AMP?

I have already tried 2 separate USB ports and the problem persists, the left channel suddenly goes silent.

If you have enough posts, you'll get the most knowledgeable eyes and minds on this type of issue in the Equipment Forums or Computer Audio sub-section of the forum.

Plug the Primes directly into your laptop. If you get both sides, the headphones are fine. If the left channel is dead, then it's the headphones.

Connect the amp directly to the laptop. Connect the Primes to the amp. If you get both sides, the amp is fine. If the left channel is dead, it's either the amp or possibly the cables*if* you got both sides when you connected the headphones directly to the laptop.

If both setups above gave you both channels then the DAC is your problem, in which case check your cables 1st to make sure you don't have bad ones.

If your headphones are the problem, check to see the left cable is connected properly.
