Hello guys, I just got a Meizu M6 yesterday and I really like it. The headphones that come with it just don’t fit my ear at all. I don't have much money right now so I was thinking of buying either KSC 75 or creative EP630. Both seem to be pretty cheap and you guys here really like both of them. I can't however narrow it down to just one. I like the earphones better I guess but then again KSC seem like they would be more comfortable. Which one of these have higher sound quality? How about comfort? If someone here had both of them, could you please let me know which ones you like more?

I also can't really buy an amp right now, but I would like to know how big of a difference can it make? It's not just the loudness but the quality of sound too right? What decent, “good for the price” amp should I be looking at? Hopefully I’ll get one soon if I need it.

And last thing, I'm really bad with sound. I can, however tell if it's good or not. I would like to know how you guys use the equalizer. Is there somewhere I can find more information on it and how to set it up? Also I'm guessing for different headphones you need to make a few specific adjustments, how do I know what to adjust.

Thank you very much for any input guys.

Take a look at JVC Marshmallows.
Using an eq is advised whenever you feel there is some kind of problem with balance of the sound in your setup - but the advised method is instead of increasing the frequency you want to boost to reduce all the others because taking a frequency above 0 yields distortion with most cheap equalizers (like those in mp3 players).

Definitely the KSC 75's. I was a bit skeptical until a recent meet and was really surprised at how great they sound. The marshmallows are nice, but I think the KSC 75's sound better if you don't want isolation. If you end up not liking them, they tend to fetch pretty decent prices used on the forums (~$15) should you decide to do so.

Allright guys, great, I'll get the KSC 75. Actually my local radio shack has them so I'll even save some time on shipping. (wheew that was an easy choice)

Thankyou very much. Great message board with very nice people.

At my Radio Shack, they are $24.95 + Tax. On www.Froogle.com I got them for $12 + $5 S&H.

I wouldn't bother with a portable amp with the Meizu M6, unless you're using some high impedance cans. Using a portable amp with the KSC-75's wouldn't really do much positive things at all and isn't really required since the KSC-75's are easy to drive.

edit : another option for portable headphones if you don't like the 'sportclip' of the KSC-75 is the Sennheiser PX100 headphones.

Or he can go with a non-sportclip version of the KSC-75: KOSS Sportapro or KOSS Portapro, both of which will yield equally impressive sonic results when compared to the KSC-75s.

portapro's are overpriced for what they are. (KSC-75 on a headband)

i have both: actually, i would recommend you to get both; they both sound good imho. the difference of course is the isolation: ksc 75 leaks sound while the ep630 as an iem isolates well. if you really have to choose one, here's my experience. the ep630s have more bass although i do not think it overpowers sound; and you might want to consider it if you like bass. the koss sounds more balanced and also has bass impact but is less than the ep630. but if you really can, get both. you will not regret it

Thank you everyone. I will be getting the KSC 75 for right now, but just like ronmtorres said I know having both is a good idea.

This forum can be pretty dangerous to your wallet, I would never even think to spent hundreds on headphone but now the idea is slowly leaking in my head... and I dont like that! But there is nothing I can do.

Anyway, thanks again.
