I am planning to purchase a headphone. I am college student at UW, so I dont have much money to cough up to get the best headphone available on the market. The max I can pay for a headphone is 150 bucks. Can anyone tell me what headphone should I buy?

I will be using it for mp3 player, laptop, and computer.
I dont have a specific brand name.

Thank you.

Sorry, but I am new to this. What is IEM, open can, or a closed can?

is open can when people can hear what you are listening to?
Heard it is better than closed can?

I was planning to get a Sennheiser HD 202. Is it decent enough to listen on mp3 and laptop?

Get the Sennheiser HD-555 and then go to Sennheisers web site and get this Call it a day and thank me when you get to listen to it.

I think that for an all around headphone for home and portable use w/o an amp I would get the yuin pk-2. I liked mine so much that I bought a pair for my wife. I then upgraded to a pk-1, but I occasionally borrow my wifes pk-2.

The YUIN pk-2 is a earbud type headphone and Head Direct sells them, Check out the right margin under Head-fi sponsors. I think they are $79.00 now.

For another $10-$20 the 555's handily beat the 485's actually I thought the 485's were the one of the worst Senns in the HD line anyway. The 555's are a great price, a sturdy headphone. I subjected mine to quite a bit of abuse and it still lives on.

Edit it was the HD 215's I was thinking about. Never the less it was never the last hold on strong or you'll fade out fast. But the 555' are still better than the 485's and look better as well.
