I would like to share with my fellow Head-Fiers a revelation that I have just had, whether you care or not. I recently acquired a collection of music that I would not normally listen to, i.e. Phish, The Beatles, and An Albatross. Now, I have listened to Phish and The Beatles before of course and they are both good bands, who I respect and listen to occasionally; however, An Albatross, I had never heard before. For those of you who have never heard of An Albatross, I don't know if I would recommend them to anyone, as the album I own consists of mainly synthesizers and grainy guitars laid underneath high pitched screaming with no song lasting more than two minutes. Upon first listen, I thought to myself that I would never listen to them ever again. However, this evening...er...morning(4:30am), I decided to listen again using my headphones, a lowly pair of eH 150's, and I was enlightened to the experimentalist approach used by the band. With the aid of my headphones I discovered the band's use of crazy sound effects and unorthodox instruments(a harmonica in a metal band). I have gained a new respect for the band, if not a great liking. And that concludes my early-morning revelation.

okay, okay, its like a combo of electronic, industrial, metalcore, screamo, experimental, alternative. I don't know what to call it. But to the untrained, non-metal fan (a metal fan, I definitely am) ear...I think it would be classified as "that heavy metal crap". lol. I'm not a stickler for genre names, obviously.

At first glance it your description seemed much like about Grindcore music (Punk mated with hardcore played on 100x speed simply put. Seems like deathmetal at first, but is way more linear and songs last only 1-2 minutes), except the synthesizers and sample experimentals and such.
