Playing DTS and 24 bit/192 KHz file in Windows PC successfully

Hi All,

I’ve downloaded and install K-Lite Codec Mega pack v10.2 last night for my Windows 7 32 bit PC, however when I try to play a file .WV and some .WAV file DTS it only produces static hissing noise ?

How can I play this high resolution file using my Windows Media player classic or the built-in WMP?

Hi John  I had the same problem i had to rename the extension from .wav to .dts, i am using winamp with the dts plugin and it works fine.

Cool, let me try that. I'm only using Media Player Classic from KLite Mega Codec pack.
