My computer can't seem to play .TS files properly. The video/sound skips and sometimes freezes at certain intervals. The ones I have are 1440x1080i and 1920x1080i. I'm using windows media classic, I've tried different decoders and nothing's helped. System specs:

E8400
2GB ram
Radeon HD4850 512mb
7200 rpm HDD (I believe)
Monitor running 1600x1200 res

I can run regular non-TS 1080i/p videos file.

I'm using windows media classic, and I've tried the built-in decoders, ffdshow ones, cyberlink.

EDIT: VLC seems to be able to play it back after some configuration, but I still find it odd that Windows media classic can't. (It plays everything else fine)

I have k-lite mega codec pack. I guess I'll just use VLC to play TS files.

I recommend you give VideoLAN Client a try.
Seems to handle all the video files I throw at it, even those 1080P files other players struggle with.

Is this video encoded with H264/x264? If so, you might try enabling H264 acceleration under WMP Classic Home Cinema. Read through some of the basic, but very vital, information to ensure the acceleration gets offloaded to the GPU. Every time I see 3-4% CPU usage on 1920x1080 videos, I never fail to inwardly grin.
