Hi,

I decided that I really want to make my own stereo system..... Sort of.

What I plan on doing, is pretty much making a low end computer to connect to my boston stereo speakers, because my aiwa stereo just isn't getting any use.

Parts:
160 GB hard drive (on its way) $30 USD (awesome price)

Motherboard: i was looking at a mini-itx for $77, but that seems ridiculous considering it is only an 888 Mhz processor on it. (Any suggestions?)

MAIN CONCERN: Display. I would REALLY like to have a touch screen, thus eliminating the need of a keyboard and mouse. (on-screen keyboards for linux?) I found a company selling their 7" touch screen that came with a remote too! And they supported Linux!!! A bit pricy for its use though. About $175 for that, maybe a bit cheaper if I'm lucky (Lilliput). Once again, I need suggestions on a small monitor.

Sound Card: Yes? No? If I get one, it will be a Chaintech AV-710. I don't want the price of this thing to be ridiculously high. It just has to play music!

Tv Tuner: I don't know why I'm even asking about this one.... I can get it for 18 bucks, and I guess the FM radio on it would be nice.

Anything else? I really want to make this thing, considering my nice boston accoustic speakers are doing nothing at the moment.

I'm probably just going to use a 64 mb chip of ram i have already, that or buying a 512 chip for 20 bucks.

Please, give me suggestions!
