it sounds like its within the ZX2 territory so the price shouldnt be much cheaper if at all

Going to be pricey, UK dealer said it will be 500 pounds, converts to $700-$800 for the Pioneer dap, but it is possible the pricing could be in favor of the dollar currency, then price would be $600-$700. The Onkyo variant will likely be quite a jump in price seeing as it has dual dacs they might be going after AK120ii, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's price was easily over 1K

Yes.. if that's the original MSRP, I think we will see this for about $500 three months after its release...
That's not bad and certainly is a better deal than $1400 AK players which have only one microSD card slot...

What's wrong with that Onkyo device? 1k? who did say so?
That Onkyo device looks just like AK240 honestly.

I am not sure what the point of the handle is. It also seems a bit large but otherwise the design is nice.

Perhaps to keep you from bending/breaking input & headphone connectors - protection.... It being so big, it might be practical.

Nope, but I've not talked to the shops recently. Somehow I get the feeling that this is released overseas first but the Fujiya Autumn festival is just about a month away anyway.
