I am interested in this, but in this picture it sure looks like sloppy fitting jacks to me.

Oh, that's seriously 499 British pounds ($612 USD).

So it priced the same as current Onkyo DP-X1 ($600 USD).

I think that's special UK pricing... some people on Amazon and Ebay are asking $700 - $1000... I think it will take some time to see that kind of pricing in US.

Just curious where you currently pay the equivalent of 600$ here in Europe for the Onkyo (excluding orders coming from outside EU of course, involving taxes to pay).

It has decreased recently but not to this point, unlike Pionner XDP-100R which is now around 500 Euros.
My best find for the Onkyo is about 650 Euros, which is not 600$.

Don't buy from greedy EU sellers or local sellers... Anyone from around the world can buy on Ebay.

But I'm more interested in XDP-300R with correct price tag. If sellers start to sell XDP-300R for $612 on Ebay, I will buy that.

Ok this is what I thought: 600$ plus the 25% taxes you'll pay to customs on arrival (~20% VAT + custome fees).
Of course sellers can lie about the declared value so you pay less taxes, but at you risk in case of loss during transport.

EU sellers have to include VAT, so they're not that greedy when they sell it 650 Euros.
wink.gif

Anyway, this Pioneer can be seen as a corrected version of the DP-X1, so the price should the same or less than the Onkyo right now (launch prices= manufacturer fantasy).

Indeed, there is no benefit for EU citizens to buy outside EU when it comes to electronics. The best (cheapest) option we currently have is buying from the UK because of the Brexit causing the Pound to decrease in value compared to the Euro.

Anyone have one of these in hand that can comment on the jack issue? If it has been fixed, I will hold off buying anything else. Looking at this pick of a 300R, both jacks look off center, which would only be possible if the holes are oversized.. This tells me that the issue has not been addressed at all. :frowning2:

300R is $1200 on Amazon USA now...

I asked that Amazon seller for a picture of the actual item being sold. He sent me the manufacturer's pic that everyone is using. I asked again for a pic of the actual item he will be shipping. He said the packages are sealed and didn't want to open one for a pic. I said a picture of the sealed packaging would be fine. He then disappeared. Obviously doesn't have them in hand yet. At least the eBay sellers are being honest and listing them as a pre-order.

I would contact audiosanctuary. They had one and listened to it. Was able to check it over.

I sent them an email about it. We'll see what they say....

EDIT: Just received a response, in less than 5 minutes!:

"This was remedied a long time ago. Infact this was remedied before the UK received the original XDP-100R stock."

Thanks for sorting this out, so this means all 100R's and 300R's bought in the UK would have no issues with loose/wobbly jacks or headphone plugs falling out easily.

But will a volume limiter be present?
