Hello,
I recently repaired a 5th gen ipod with a tarkan solo and 128gb SD card. Works wonders. However one of the main reasons I wanted an ipod was to use it with my Pioneer deh4700bt, and especially the fact that I can control the music via my ipod when plugged in USB.
The ipod control on the pioneer works fine with my stock 160gb thick ipod but not with the 5gen. I wondering if the issue comes from the 5gen software or the mod. Don't have a modded 6gen to compare.
Anyone ever had this issue with pioneer stereos? Ipod via USB is really a slick option, bypass everything, but the real benefit is to control all the music from the ipod interface otherwise I could just get a cheap USB stick... controlling hundreds of artists via the pioneer itself is a big drag.
Any experience of other DAPS that can control the music when plugged via usb could be sweet.
