Are you using the same size knob on both pots?

Well, at first I thought this was a strange question, but when I thought about it, I was comparing the two with one having the knob on and one off (the CKKIII with a large knob on, pimeta with no knob). I took the large one off the CKKII and compared it, they were both difficult to turn. Then I added knobs (different ones) to both. The smaller knob on the CKKIII makes the turn resistance almost equal to the Pimeta with the larger knob. With the larger knob on the CKKIII, there is a bit more of a difference, but much less than it felt like with the large knob on the CKKIII and no knob on the Pimeta.

Thank you for your help! I love this forum, especially when I was testing the voltages when I first powered on the CKKIII, and saw some crazy voltages at + and - 15 V (-7.99 and .645) and after a few minutes of searching, saw a suggestion from MisterX to check the voltage regulators, and sure enough, they were switched. I had a hell of a time trying to get them off, but everything's great now.
