Still haven't pulled the trigger on parts for the Pimeta. I have a question before I do:

What are the advantages to going with a 1/4" output jack over a mini?

larger contact area for mechanical security, but really just use whatever your cans have on them. for me thats 1/4" jacks.

Good point, no SQ difference though, correct?

If all of your headphones are terminated 1/8 you will need to use an adaptor with a 1/4 jack. The adaptor adds an extra connection in the audio chain and could potentially harm sound. The 1/8 plug needs to connect somewhere so the mechanical advantage of 1/4 is nonexistant unless your headphones have screw on adaptors.

Also note that if you use a metal case with your Pimeta you will need an isolated output jack. The selection is small of isolated 1/8 jacks.

If all of your headphones are 1/8 and you do not plan on adding a headphone with 1/4 then use a 1/8 jack. Otherwise use 1/4.
