Here is my Garrard plinth. You may note the Fuchs magnet-bearing wooden-arm on the right, and the SME 3012 to back left.

esco'd 103, longer cantilever therefore 1.8g tracking weight. Was running a helikon but it sounded dreadful, for the price the 103 never fails.

Yes the mass stays the same, if you can try the ESCO 103 retip, I cannot recommend it highly enough, perfect for the Aro. Although no where near the Miyabi I imagine.

Just set up last week... a decent dive in I think. I'm loving it so far.

It still needs a proper shelf, which should happen in the next couple of months.

It would be nice to find an economical version of the Miyabi, but so far I found none.

Try the expert stylus 103, it comes in at £325, or they can mod your existing 103 for £180, I have not used the Helikon since I got it, it has tracked, perfectly, absolutely everything I have thrown at it! If you hate it I will buy it from you.

Edit: I have to say the Miyabi ranks as on of the top cartridges in the world so the es103 is going to fall short but for the money!

/\ No, I don't like the idea of the heavier counterweight.

I was saving for a Koetsu or a MC Bee, now I am not. It has been running in for about 20 hours now and the bottom end is opening up, big smile on my face.
