Pictures of Your Portable Rig [Part XIII]

I have to admit - (I mean this in the most humorous, non-offensive, non-specific way possible) I find it funny all the money people spend on audio equipment but reply on their craptastic 0.3 megapixel cell phone camera to take pictures. You can get a very reasonable digital point and shoot camera these days for $100 easy.

I guess that's just the photographer in me coming out.

the point is that certain people pay money for only certain hobbies. me, i don't care less about cars, zippos, guns or anything besides bikes, audio and camera. who cares? if you have to pay more to do something you don't really care about, why bother. 100$ is a lot to spend if you are not interested in it.

Well, I don't care about photography. I like seeing pretty pictures and I like making logos in Photoshop (Not that I'm good at it), but I don't enjoy making photos at all. It's a matter of preference, obviously, like some people just love their Cowon D2 for the Mach3Bass...

I'll try making a nice picture of the UE's, but my Sony X1 is indeed just a crappy phone :p (3.2 megapixels!!!!!! Arguably, though, it's the best camera I've ever had in my hands.)

Use a tripod and the self timer when taking a photo and it will probably look a lot better than the blurry handshake pics!
I'm going to get a new camera soon, when I get a job lol.

I don't agree with that, when handled with care and patience the pictures taken with the Xperia are pretty good.

Get some decent lightning and put the camera-mode on 'Sport' (so the camera will use fast shutter times) and use manual focus, the results should not dissappoint.

iRiver iHP-130 (2200mAh, RBed) with remote -> MxM Amplifier (Polish Project, 2xAD8066 [audio & Vmass] with JVC and BG N caps, better than mini^3) -> crappy IC (waiting for something good) -> Sennheiser HD 25-1 II

Regards!

Love the iPhone setup! My motivation to use the new Shuffle came from buying a new 1/4 to 1/8 adapter yesterday. I noticed it was bigger then the Shuffle, which made me giggle. So I plugged it in.

Usually I only use the Shuffle for jogging, using the Apple in-ears. (I only listen to podcast or books when jogging, not music).

16 GB D2 + 32 GB SDHC card --> APureSound 75 ohm impedance adapter --> Ultimate Ears Super fi. 5 pro IEMs. Sounds nice, reasonable storage capacity (wish that there were media managers around that had better support for more players and random album syncing capabilities, so that not being able to take my entire collection around all the time wouldn't suck as much). All in all, I'm happy.

Oh, and the second picture included some CDs that I had recently ripped onto my computer. Just to show off, you know.
