What are the other two knobs for on your Supra other than volume? Input and texture?

I have just started to collect the hi-fi stuff. Hopefully I can keep up, after listening to swathes of prokofiev I feel like i'd be doing his masterworks a dis-service by listening from crap sources.

Bah.. I need to save for a great DAC for the PC, or just get the next Cambridge Audio 740c.. hopefully decades of collecting to come.

I dunno if your rig qualifies as high end but your desktop is cool.

One is texture (always set to hard), the other is adjustable negative feedback (set to off).

There's also a knob on top that engages a pair of sowter transformers to convert single-ended input into balanced operation.

A knob on the back to allow high voltage to the output tubes.

^^ is your R10 fully recabled or just reterminated to balanced?

  7. Fing
In the process of recabling one pair to balanced. The other pair I'm going to keep stock.

Seriously now, I'm planning to get some silver PS Audio ICs and a Premier power plant in the future. Just to put a little cherry on the top of the chocolate cake.

    Hugo,

I just got a PPP and it made a very good improvement to my whole system. I then added a CDSA and it is pure bliss. Even with my MPX3 amp, my system sounds fabulous. But I will upgrade anway, as that is the nature of the beast.

That's good to know, Brian! And very teasing info too... [IMG]
I will be probably buying one this year. [IMG]

Even if there isn't a significant sonic improvement, my gear will without a doubt like to be treated with quality power.
