My going to the dentist rig, (notice the white cable to go unnoticed amongst the Apple sheep)

Sony MDR-EX083 / Clip+ / 1024GB sd card. :regular_smile :

Does it sound good? I loved the 1st gen, but not the 2nd gen.

To be honest with you I don't listen to it all that critically.  So there's the disclaimer.  The t-Jays are on the bass-heavy side, although they definitely are revealing enough and the bass doesn't seem to overwhelm everything else.  The shuffle is definitely not offensive.  Doesn't have any hiss, button clicks or digital artifacts... so at the least its a serviceably clean sounding player.  Honestly I haven't A/B'd it with my sansa clip.

Thats a nice looking rig you got there mate, if only the clip+ had been white as well :P

btw, I'm pretty sure those are MDR-EX082s, I have both EX082 and EX083 that came with my Walkmans. Pretty decent stock bundle headphones. I'm using my EX082s since 2007!

Did someone say budget?

Got my iPod Photo + Fiio E3 + Triple Fi 10's.
Disregard the horrific webcam, phone broke down.

Yikes, the horribly muddy-sounding E3. Better off just Rockboxing the iPod and using the 10 band parametric EQ.

How is the SQ on the 47X series? I was considering one of those recently. I hear that the bundled earbuds are really great to boot.

For my casual/regular use its pretty decent, I have written a review here - http://anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?p=632730#post632730 on my E474 8GB. It does what it does, nothing too outstanding, pretty 'decent' in typical Sony fashion. About the bundled IEMs, I still use the MDR-EX082 and the newer MDR-EX083 that I got with the E470. They EQ really well along with Sony Clear Bass. Pretty good stuff. If you're considering, I'd suggest the E475 16GB (sells around 100$ on Amazon I think).

Hey, I was thinking of picking up the 8323's and I was just wondering how they compare to the likes of the M50/Denon AH-D1100?

Will post my budget rig tomorrow ^_^
