A picture is better than a thousand words. This post was adapted from a chinese website.
Using words to describe sound is not accurate and too personal. I think using pictures are much better way to express the feeling of sound, more strait forward and vivid, easy to understand.

Very nice depiction there but missing quite a few aspects (i.e frequency balance)
 
And the second image, it's very 'hot' and powerful in it's charcter which isn't something that sould define the neutral-cool nature HD600. 
 
Could be a nice idea though for trying to pic-describing other phones other than that silly anime-girls-wearing-cans of thread.... pity that i don't have anything to share.

For the second picture, I thought the clouds (or whatever that white stuff is) was a veil between the singer and the audience which could describe the HD600.

I haven't actually heard the HD600 (only the HD580 and 650), but I've read that the 600 has veil and that's how I perceived the OP's picture.

Then it's funny - because of the pictures in OPs original post - I'd swap the HD600 and HD650 ones.  (older) 650 quite warmer, bassier - HD600 more defined.  I haven't heard the newer driver HD650 - maybe it corrects some of the high end.  But I just can't reconcile the middle picture.  I love my HD600 for classical.
