I haven't had any problems getting them on the phone. Just remember they are on west coast time. Try calling between 12-4pm mountain time. They have responded to my e-mails very quickly too.

What I really want to know is how they stack up against Ety Er-4P or the Shure SE310s that I've gone to... Anyone able to do such a comparison?

I'm not expecting mine before Friday (waiting for stuff sucks). I'll update the thread as soon as I receive them. I already bought the stuff to "black out" the bronze colored part of the coaxial connector (I ordered a black face plate with clear molds).

what 'stuff' is that? i'm thinking of blacking them out too. the gold kinda looks cheesy. haha.

i ordered transparent black with black faceplates(first choice) and transparent red with black faceplates(second choice) because i don't know whether they do transparent black or not.

I got the following at Home Depot:

Flat Black Rustoleum Paint (says it's designed for metal - spray paint would also work)
Small/Fine paint brush
Blue painters tape (to mask the area off)
Scuff pad (porous sandpaper type pad with a sponge backing)

I don't think they can do much customization in colors, probably how they keep the cost down. I asked about having all clear monitors but they it has to have a face plate.

What i don't understand is how Westone, UE monitors all require a faceplate but theirs can be done in acrylic colors but the Livewires cannot.

But i did write in to them to ask them to consider using black ends instead of gold ends for their cables. It does make their cables look a little..(for the lack of a better word) cheap to a certain extent.

Well, you have to remember that you can't touch other custom IEM's for less than $550. I don't think the others use a face plate either, I think it has to do with the BNC connector on the Livewires. I agree about the gold connector ends, I wonder if that was the only color commercially available at a reasonable price.

Nope, I ran home today in hopes they would be here but no joy. I live in Southern California so shipping should be fast. I don't know what I'll do if I have to suffer through a 3-day weekend without my new toy
