Well, more specifically, the two Pi speakers. I've been searching for a budget high efficientcy bookshelf type speaker system and came across these. Although these seems to be pushing the "bookshelf" size limit a bit.

You can buy it as a kit or finish product. Obviously a kit will save you quite a bit of money. But due to the lack of time and tools, I'll be getting the finished product. The two Pi with a 97db sensitivity and 10" woofers should give me plenty of bass of volume for my medium size bedroom. I'll be pairing them with my 300B amp and AE-3 preamp.

By the way, Wayne Parham is a very nice guy. Heck, I got a response from him via emails within 15 mins.

As a matter a fact he was answering my emails til about 5am CMT this morning. I gave him a call this afternoon and placed my order. Apparently they take about 6-8 weeks for delivery since they build to order. He also said that kits are in stock and ready to ship.

They have a forum on audioasylum also.

Forgot to add this little bit from Wayne:

"The two Pi really is a better deal if you're not planning to run subs. But the one Pi is better if you are going to use subs, because its response is a little more linear. Just barely though, and it doesn't go as deep. The one Pi is ruler flat all the way down to its lower cutoff, but it's starting to fall at 60Hz (-3dB) and is pretty much done by 40Hz (-10dB). The two Pi is up about 1dB at 100Hz from the midrange level, and that gives is a bit more "punch." it then starts to roll off around the same point as the one Pi's at 60Hz (-3dB), but it has usable response way down almost to 20Hz, with its -10dB point at about 30Hz. So it has about a half-octave lower usable bass than the one Pi's."

They're about $108 bucks for the kit per pair, extremely inexpensive. The kit comes with everything except insulation and you have to build the cabinet.

I've ordered a pair factory built pair, in oak (their standard veneer) for about $600 shipped. Shipping and packaging was $138, kinda expensive.

There's a huge debate on their quality, sonically, on AA compared to the HE10.1. Ultimately, I think both are great speakers and it was kinda hard to decide on which set to buy. I chose the Pi due to the larger 10" woofer which should go deeper than the HE10.1 8".

You gonna try em Pigmode?
Try the two Pi's so when you finish em and are not satisfied I can buy them off you.

No, I was thinking you were going to get them so I could hear yours. They seem like good speakers for your huge listening room.

Besides, I'll have my hands full with a recent suprise acqusition.
