After getting the k701s a couple weeks ago, I'm itching to try out some other sound signatures. My buget is rather limited, (100-150), and I'm just looking to see how other cans sound.

Right now I'm thinking: MS-1, HD-580, or a900. (all used, of course)

Recommend away.

Definitely MS1. K501 would be a fine choice as well. To me, K501 is quite different from K701 and is worth trying.

Try out Grado's - their budget headphones are very very good with their top of the line stuff only better by small margins.

MS1 or SR60 for a taste of Grado sound
HD580 for a taste of warm Senn sound

You should send your iPod to Redwine Audio for the iMod. With those cans and amp you need a better source.
