Hey,
I'm looking for some decent headphones for mixing and recording. I know it's not really ideal to mix in headphones, but I don't really have a choice.
So I'm looking for a something pretty balanced, would be good if they don't leak so much. Maybe this is contradictory, but I don't want them to be too analytical either, since I intend to use them for regular music listening too.

Would appreciate any suggestions. Guess it can't get much worse than the Porta Pros I'm using for mixing right now.

Thanks.

i got my m50's this week & have already gotten two people at work interested in buying headphones just by letting them listen to my ath-m50, the bass is strong on these, and im sorta new to this but i do believe they are analytical...and maybe a tiny bit fatiguing as choice words often used by the grado users to which i also have no experience with. But i find them addicting to listen too, they are comfortable & simply sound amazing & i suppose with burn-in..it only gets better from here.

The m50 looks pretty interesting, and would be about half the prize of what the K-271MKll or GMP 8.35 would cost. If I could get them to Sweden without customs & VAT that is.
Fostex T50RP would cost about the same as the M50 or a bit less, but doesn't seem to have as much good reviews..
As for the Sonys, how would they compare to, say the M50:s? Feels like the latter on would fit my needs better, but dunno.
