How's the soundstage? Also, is there anything better for the price (IEM's)? And is the sound cold and analytical, or does it at least have some amount of fun? And detail-wise?

Soundstage is rather good for an IEM. They use an edge-firing custom armature (similar to the new Super.Fi 5 v2), I assume that's what makes the soundstage better than a direct-firing one.

At that $130 price range you won't find anything as precise and detailed as the Phonaks, I'm pretty sure about that. The Ety ER-6 sound like a muddy mess in comparison.

Yes, they're "fun" to a certain extent, considering they're quite analytical, maybe even more than the q-Jays.

Thanks, they sound like my cup of tea! Good for complex music, rock, etc?

They're good for complex music, unlike the q-Jays. I didn't find any music that makes the Phonaks sound compressed/muddy/strained. They're not made for Hip Hop, Drum'n'Bass, or similar stuff, but they're excellent for Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Howard Shore, Danny Elfman, Miles Davis, etc...
