first i was gonna get Klipsch S4,  everyone was raving bout these
then i changed my mind to Shure SE215,  people said they sound great, fun, etc,
then i heard about Phonak IEM's   ,  good stuff
was gonna pull trigger on PFE112

and now i hear a PFE232 very near, which will of course cost  more than all above,  but will they be worth the wait,  worth the $$$

man, so many choices,   what to do?
was gonna stick to $100-$130,   but willling to go to $200,  which 232's MAY be around if not a bit more

just looking for a nice FLAT,  neutral pair, good sounding IEM,    so i can maybe do a little mixing/listening on without breaking the bank,  ???

If I had to make an educated guess.  I would say due to the current price of the PFE 112 being $160, I highly doubt the successor will only be $40 more.  If I were in your shoes, I'd buy the Perfect Bass models($89 Amazon)  and get grey filters($15 Phonaks site) separately and enjoy.

thanks  ,  but the name  Perfect Bass kind of turns me off, as it seems they would exagerate the "bass",
don't get me wrong, i like bass,  but don't want to hear, "fake" bass"  or overly exagerated bass,  bass frequencies, volumes just to sound good,  i need more natural, even sound

as if i do a little mixing with these,  i don't want teh mix to be way off
the IEM's  will be mostly for listening,   but may mix a little...so

That is why I recommended the grey filters, they are all interchangable and are essentially making your Perfect Bass PFE 012 into the PFE 112.  Trust me when I say neither the black filters or the green filters create allot of bass.  Just more than the grey ones which are very accurate and lean in the bass department.

you saying they are the SAME headphones,  ??  just difference are the filters?
i find that hard to believe,  then  everyone would get the cheaper ones and just buy filters,
the 112's design looks different,  bit bigger,   so i'd assume the sound would be different/bigger,   etc

Enanthate,

also  the PFE's are not $160 like you said,

they go for $139,  free shipping,

so that's whay i'm hoping  for $199 or less for the 232's

and maybe the 112's will drop a little in price when the 232's release to be even more competitive with all others out there

Feel free and contact Phonak http://na.audeoworld.com/support/faq/.  The PFE 112 come with more accessories and 2 sets of grey and 2 sets of blacks filters.  The PFE 012 only comes with the set of green in the IEM's themselves.  And yes I think Phonak isn't too bright for making this marketing decision but it works out for anyone smart enough to figure out there modeling scheme.

The 232s will be at least $299 and not before Oct so don't get your hopes up. Word is that they are worth the $ and wait.
