Hello all, I have someone willing to sell me some used Fidelio X2's, however, the pictures he showed me has me concerned. The following picture is the damage within the ear cup, should I even bother buying it?

For what price? I'm also assuming it isn't local so you can't test.

Yeah you're right, I can't test it, he does assure me that he has not noticed any discernable sound difference due to the damage to the mesh. If I were to believe that then the driver was untouched. He is asking me what I'd offer for the pair, not knowing for sure about that damage, I'm wondering if I should pass and wait for another pair to come along. Would you risk it if you get a rock bottom price for them?

Decisions, decisions haha

Sorry for the late reply, I'd ask if he could attempt a sound demo video putting the camera to left and right drivers while playing music?
Also, I just ordered one for 300 cdn (315 or so all in) so about $230 USD.
That said, I wouldn't go above say.. 150 USD myself?

If sound really Really aren't affected:
1) If you aren't so OCD about your headphones
2) aren't susceptible to placebo by knowing that the existence of damage on the mesh,
3) able to get rock bottom price while accepting future resale price would also drop as far, yes, you should take the plunge.
