Says right there, I have the 4205 with that 12.2mm driver and it performs well above the cheap buds I have tried. Has great clarity and good tone and timbre and beats the likes of Monk, RX1, Qian 39, TY Hi-Z 32 and Vido which I have all had and the buds have a more refined sound better resolution and extension. I have heard quite a few good drivers in over 12 years on Head-fi so I can spot a good performer :smile_phones:

Been ages since I heard the 3580 and no real point in comparing the 4205 to them.

Unless they made a whole new driver that happens to have the same specs and size and put it in a in-ear that has nearly the same numbering just changing the 2 to a 3. :)

Well the 3580 is not 12.2mm...
can you tell if they're Vshaped as well?

No point in comparing the 4205 and 3580 because one is an earbud and one an in-ear :) I think there should be no problem comparing the Bass+ and 3580 :) I was talking about the 4205 and the 4305 being the same driver. I just threw them out there and asked if anyone tried them as I haven't. Threw out the tidbit that the driver has ability in the earbud so perhaps the Bass+ is worth a try. Not gonna be able to tell if they are "V" outside of just guess/speculation.

The SHE3595 is the mic'd version of the SHE3590
that's $3.33 each

The 4205 is not in-ear? :|

in other news, I bought some philips she4305 otherwise known as bass+ in-ear with mic

wasn't expecting to see them in the shops today but was surprised to see them in jbhifi, no less, I wanted to buy them without mic but they didn't have them so I bought them for $30 AUD

first impressions are that they sound clear and have decent bass impact for in ears, perhaps they are less V-shaped than the she3580, I don't know, so far I don't hear mids missing, perhaps its just new toy syndrome, running them from my smsl m3 from pc usb cable, listening to all types of instrumental music and vgm

I don't regret buying them, I wonder how they compare to the older philips tx models, since they were more or less, a poor man's fidelio s1 or s2

edit, also if anyone is still looking for some she3580 there are a few on ebay

I would gladly buy a Philips like the 3580 form factor and details but with balanced sound or much less v-shaped.

not exactly, they (she4305) look more like tx1 tx2

Anybody recables SHE3850 or SHE3950? My one's cable's plastic coating fell off and it gets this ugly look on them. Thus wondering if some one has any recable experience with these. Might pull off a recable on them if I can figure out how to open the shell without damaging.
