This weekend I went shopping for the Beyerdynamic DT770pro, scraped all my money togader to get them. Then there came a big problem: no shop in Groningen even had Beyerdynamic headphones! Danm...
You guys also said that the Philips SBCHP890 was a very good headphone for rock, no problem finding these in Groningen, nearly every shop has them. I think they rule, and for the money I paid (80€) I think that they're a bargain.
Sennheiser HD570
Paid: 99€
Comfort: I think they're the nicest headphones to wear, ever.
Sound: A bit rolled-off at the bottom, a bit bright, but they have great image. It's a pitty that the bottom is rolled, really with a little more punch they would be more realistic.
Philips SBCHP890
Paid: 79€
Comfort: nice too. but a few things could be better, they get a bit hot after an hour of listning, for my taste the headband pushes a bit to hard and they're big, really big. Oh, don't try to walk or move with them on, it makes noise if you move
Sound: dark-ish, nice for portables, I really would wear them in public if they wheren't so big. a little peak in the 15khz area makes them a bit harsh when cranked up loud, but it does make the headphone sound a bit more open, less muddy.
Both headphones make good sound for their money. Choose for the senn if you prefer imaging and openness over bass, choose otherwise if you're more of a basshead.
Thank you very much for reading me.
