So... amp is done and is working great. I can't believe how simple, yet so elegant this design is. Essentially the signal path is input to a tube stage then to output transformers for impedance matching and that's it. No caps in the signal path. 300-600Ω headphones seem to work best with it. Tried my Alpha Primes and they were meh. Senn HD580/6XX worked great, as well as my ZMF Atticus. I'm thinking the AKG 7XX will be glorious as well. So I'll bring those mentioned headphones. BTW... Here are some pics of the finished product...
