My old Goldring GX200's have broken and im in the market for some new 'phones.
Ive been reading a lot and ive come down to a few choices now:

Head Direct RE0
PFE 012 Perfect Bass
Hippo VB

I listen to RnB, Dubstep, Hip Hop, and a lot of Michael Jackson.

What would you guys recommend around the £50/$100 mark?

Thanks

If you've read any reviews/discussions about the RE0 here, for your music types, I would think the RE0 will probably not satisfy you in the bass impact and quantity area -- they give lots of details, but don't exactly make listening fun they way IEMs can.  Can't help much with the other 2, except what I've read here.

Hippo VB has interchangable plates to get the sound you like most from very bassy to neutral, detailed and i will recommend these over others two.

For a more refined sound, I will go for the PFE. But if you really like more bass, VB is a good choice as well.

im looking for a balance really, im the kind of guy who is impressed by deep bass, rather than loud bass. And i like my highs to be tight, listening to my GX200's with Michael Jackson, when the top end gets busy the SQ is quite awful and ruins the song, harsh trble and sounds messy.

In that sense would the PFE's be my better bet?

Haha, bought VB's and PFE012s this year and want to get the RE0s despite the poor build quality.

Guess I'm living in 2010.
