* Received amp from Rhizome
* Amp looks great cosmetically
* Amp internals look good...no visible signs of overheating, burns, melting of solder/insulation, FUSE is intact
* Faint smell of burnt copper/insulation
* Used multimeter to check continuity in power supply
* Turned on the unit and checked unit with positive observations (transformer is working perfectly, loop outs work, amp section works)
* Amp has been turned on for 45 minutes now without any sonic disturbances...no burning smell
* I am going to leave the amp on for one more hour before I turn it off and pack it to ship for testing and repairs
What do you guys think happened here? I suspect Rhizome's house wiring is screwed because this little amp seems to be fine...
Now it looks like I got a brilliant deal here and I feel guilty. I discussed this with Rhizome and we have some plans for this amp.
