Finally started appreciating my Shure 846.

Wanted to upgrade the cable and eartips for better sound signature and good seal.

Most of the silver cable reviews here mention that they have tendency to incline towards treble.
I am looking for warm and crisp sound not trebly .

would greatly appreciate if you guys can suggest some options.

A lot of people recommend Westone Star (silicone) and the True fit (foam) tips. They fit on Shure nozzles.

I just received a silver plated copper (SPC) cable from Ted Allen. I don't have any in-depth comments on them yet but it sounds great so far. The SPC is "supposedly" warmer

I can't speak on cable upgrades, but I did write about how to take off the memory wire of the Shure SE846 in my Sensaphonics Custom Sleeves review.  The review talks about different eartips, compares them, and gives my own opinions regarding what I think is the best upgrade, which are the custom sleeves.  Here's the link for it: http://www.head-fi.org/t/723306/review-sensaphonics-custom-sleeves-in-crystal-blue-for-the-shure-se846

Good luck!

I concur and would add this warm/ summer weather upgrade that I am certain will improve overall enjoyment and comfort when listening. This puppy will put you right in the bliss zone.
I believe I shall be buying this upgrade tomorrow.

Super old thread, I know, but the Shure 846 remains an enjoyable IEM that I return to time and again, despite having added newer and more technically sophisticated IEMs to my collection (e.g. Empire Ears Odin, Empire Ears Triton, JH Audio Roxanne).
For optimum sound/fit for my 846, for years I have enjoyed using the Shure white Triple Flange tips with the smallest flange cut off at its base. And for the cable, I have the Moon Audio Silver Dragon cable. The tips provide a perfect fit and excellent passive isolation, as well as sound. The cable offers enjoyable clarity to the top end without any sibilance and without diminishing the lovely low end.
