Pearl Harbor photos uncovered from an old Brownie

Yes. My mother had a nice, fixed-lens brownie many years ago that looked and operated very much like a medium format rollei with a flip-up viewfinder and used a weird size of roll film. The black and whites it took are remarkable.

The clarity of those pics is just incredible. I would agree that those photos weren't all taken by the same person orl taken from the same spot on the ship. Some of the pics were taken on Ford Island looking towards Pearl Harbor. Some were taken at Pearl Harbor looking toward Ford Island. One was taken at the dry dock at Pearl Harbor. Two of them seemed to be taken of the damaged aircrafts on the air strip at Ford Island.

After lens quality, film [not print!] size is everything. The old gear took some excellent photos. I have an Argus 35mm C-3, aka "the Brick," which my dad gave me. For general photography, [read: no telephoto or macro work] it takes great pix. My Olympus gear is only more versatile. I have even seen decent 35mm phots taken with Instamatics! Some of the best photos I have ever seen were taken with very large format cameras using 36" x 36" Polaroid film.
