Hey guys, thought I'd drop in for some advice.
I've been browsing the forums for a few months now trying to figure out the best DAC/Amp setup for me. I originally was looking at a setup that included the Paradisea non-oversampling tube DAC, a tube headphone amp, and a USB transport.
That was my plan until I got a cool little surprise for christmas in the form of a Little Dot MKIV SE tube amp. So I decided to go ahead and get the Trends UD-10.1 transport as my temporary DAC and listen to the MKIV SE through 1/8" headphone Y-splitter to RCA.
Considering the current DAC I am using, and since I cannot find reviews of anyone using a LD MKIVSE with a Paradisea - I haven't read much into Little Dot amps either - I don't know if I would be wasting money getting the Paradisea paired with the MKIVSE.
So I guess my questions are this: Should I go ahead and purchase the Paradisea? Or would I be better off with a less expensive(if there is a less expensive NON-oversampling tube DAC)? If it is a Paradisea, is there a version with BNC-Coax input?
I was looking heavily upon a Woo Audio 6 with some upgrades for awhile, but the price difference between it and the MKIVSE raised an eyebrow. I am currently listening to the MKIVSE by Laptop > Trends UD-10.1 > 1/8" Y-splitter > LD MKIVSE > Audio Technica ATH-A900 Art Monitors; but will be using Laptop > Trends UD-10.1 > Coax(BNC or RCA) > Paradisea/Tube NOS DAC > LD MKIVSE/or? > W1000s with a new DAC(maybe another amp if the MKIVSE is ok).
Thank you for your time,
~Mason
