Painting headphones?

anyone here tried painting headphones.....

i was thinking of getting my sis a pair of grados and painting them some funky color for her like pink or purple (she's 14 and i'm getting her into hi-fi)

I know that for plastic vinyl dye is usually the way to go, I've never done it myself but perhaps this guide might be useful... http://www.modthebox.com/vinyldye.shtml

Otherwise you'll have to sand, prime, paint and gloss.

for plastics definately go with vinyl dye, its so easy to use!
